Carlos Tevez's legal team will make sure he "abides by all the rules" in completing his community service order.

Tevez has 250 hours of community service to complete, and it was reported on Thursday that the former Manchester City striker will still be required to fulfil his sentence, despite signing for Juventus.

Probation service chiefs have suggested they would have not hesitate to apply for a warrant to arrest the 29-year-old if no agreement is reached about the completion of his sentence.

But in a statement released on Friday, the Argentina international's legal team say that they are currently attempting to come to an agreement to avoid that scenario.

"No rules or regulations have been broken in relation to Carlos Tevez's community service order," they said. "We are acting on behalf of Mr Tevez to make sure he abides by all the rules."
