Players must take responsibility - Carrick
Michael Carrick is the latest Manchester United star to insist the players are to blame for the club's poor start to the season.
United have claimed just 11 points from eight games so far, representing their worst start to a league season for 24 years.
The likes of Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs have previously come out in support of manager David Moyes, and now midfielder Carrick claims he and his team-mates must "stand up and take responsibility".
"Looking at the table as it is now is not something we are used to," Carrick said. "It is not easy reading.
"It is frustrating because things are not going the way we want, but as players we have to stand up, take responsibility and get better.
"We just have to keep believing. We are still confident. Everything is in place but for some reason, at the moment, we are not quite clicking and not quite firing."
