Wilshere goal like Playstation football - Ozil

Mesut Ozil says Jack Wilshere's sublime goal against Norwich was like something out of a Playstation game.

Wilshere capped off an intricate passing move between himself, Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud to register an early contender for goal of the season in Arsenal's 4-1 win. Arsene Wenger even rated it among the top three Arsenal goals he has seen in his 17 years at the club.

And though Ozil himself netted twice for his first Premier League goals, he admits Wilshere's opener stole the show.

"I've got to praise the three players involved for the first goal," Ozil told Arsenal's official website. "It was real 'tiki taka' - almost like they were playing PlayStation. It was an unbelievable goal.

"I know that I can still improve but I'm happy with my display and the performance of the team. Aaron Ramsey showed that any player who comes on will do his best for the team and will get involved in tackles and attacks immediately.

"That's why we've been in such good form. I'm really proud of the team. We're taking what the manager wants us to take into games and are making strides. Now we've got another three points and can be pleased with that.

"[Confidence] is really high. We know what we can do but we won't get carried away. It's still very early but we know how much potential we have in the team. We just enjoy playing and it shows on the pitch. We fight for each other and we are always there for one another. That's why we've been so successful."

Ozil was brought off to rapturous applause at The Emirates, which he admits left him touched.

"It was an emotional experience for me," he said. "I had goosebumps when I heard. I'm so thankful to the fans, who have supported both myself and the whole team.

"We're showing our thanks with our good performances on the pitch. I hope that they can continue to get behind us as they have been and I can guarantee that we will continue to play attractive football."
