Ozil demands focus against Dortmund

Mesut Ozil has warned Arsenal against complacency ahead of their Champions League meeting with Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal have made a strong start to Group F, winning their opening two matches against Marseille and Napoli.

Now Arsene Wenger's side host Dortmund at the Emirates on Tuesday, and Ozil is demanding a fully-focused performance from his teammates.

"We have a good starting position, but the job is not done yet," Ozil said.

"Arsenal have shown their strength in the past, and now we have ripened. We are aware of our class. If we can show that, we could have nine points after three games."

While still at Real Madrid, Ozil, 25, played against Dortmund four times during the 2012-13 Champions League campaign.

Real lost in Dortmund and drew 2-2 at the Bernabeu, finishing runners-up behind the German side in their group. In the latter game, Ozil scored a last-gasp equaliser with a free kick.

Despite a 2-0 win in the second leg of their semi-final, Real could not prevent an all-German final following Dortmund's 4-1 win in the first leg at the Westfalenstadion.

And Ozil said he is relishing the two meetings against Jurgen Klopp's side.

"Two reasons. Firstly, a lot of good friends of mine play in the Dortmund team. I look forward to meeting them in Champions League," Ozil said.

"Secondly, even if it did not run perfectly for Real against Dortmund, I scored or set up a goal in nearly every game against a German side, that gives me a good feeling. Moreover, we play the first game in London. That's an advantage."
