Emmanuel Frimpong is the latest player to get himself into trouble on Twitter after using the social networking site to claim the reason he is not getting into Arsenal's team is because he is not white or English.

The Ghanaian midfielder, 21, was asked by a fan on Twitter why he was not in the squad for the League Cup match with Chelsea on Tuesday.

He replied: "LOL I wanna laugh."

He then added: "Sometimes I wish I was white and English #realtalk."

Frimpong quickly deleted the tweets and then wrote: "Not every tweet is football related."

Arsene Wenger had earlier told the club's official website that Frimpong was not in the squad because "he is still short of competition".

It is not the first time Frimpong has found himself in hot water over comments made on Twitter. Last year, he called a Tottenham fan "yid scum".
