De Gea: Hart will recover

>

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has backed Joe Hart to reclaim his place in the Manchester City team.

Hart was dropped for the 7-0 Premier League victory against Norwich on Saturday following an extended run of poor form which has seen him criticised.

De Gea struggled to hold on to his starting place at United at times during his first two seasons at the club, with Anders Lindegaard regularly given first-team opportunities.

But De Gea has now established himself as United's undisputed No.1 and he believes Hart can recover his form to do the same at City.

"Joe Hart is a great keeper," De Gea said. "It's very complicated to play at the top level and never to make mistakes.

"I am sure he will work very hard to go back into the first 11 and sooner or later he will make it."
