The English and Polish football associations have been fined as a result of crowd trouble during the teams' World Cup qualifier at Wembley on October 15.

FIFA announced last month that it was opening disciplinary proceedings, and the English FA - responsible for stadium security as the host nation - has been fined nearly £7,000 for failing to prevent Polish fans from setting off flares, while one away fan also entered the pitch.

The Polish FA was fined £20,500 for "incidents of crowd disturbance", with 16 fans arrested in Wembley's away section for lighting pyrotechnics before and during the game.

England claimed a 2-0 win over Poland to secure their place at the 2014 World Cup.
