Liverpool back in for Chelsea's Bertrand
Brendan Rodgers will re-launch his bid to sign Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand in January.
The Liverpool manager originally targeted the left-back in the summer, but was rebuffed by Jose Mourinho.
But with Jose Enrique expected to be out until February, Rodgers has renewed his interest in 24-year-old Bertrand, who has two caps for England, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Despite Ashley Cole's recent rib injury, Bertrand has struggled to force his way into Chelsea's first-team, with Mourinho deciding instead to shift Cesar Azpilicueta across to the left-hand side.
The Telegraph claims Rodgers will offer Bertrand first-team football, with the Anfield boss having reservations over Aly Cissokho, while 20-year-old Jon Flanagan made only his second start of the season in last weekend's Merseyside derby.
Chelsea will demand around £8 million for the Bertrand, who signed a five-year contract worth £35,000 a week in September.
