Fulham warn Arsenal off Schwarzer

Fulham have informed Arsenal that they have no intention of selling goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.
Arsenal's three goalkeepers, Manuel Almunia, Vito Mannone and Lukasz Fabianski, struggled for consistency last season and it was claimed earlier in the summer that Arsene Wenger had opted to make a move for an experienced keeper.
The Frenchman has given no indication as to who he has his eyes on, but chairman Peter Hill-Wood has confirmed an initial approach for Schwarzer has been batted back.
"We have made an enquiry for him and they are not prepared to sell him so we have gone away," Hill-Wood told the Daily Star. "We can only hope they will change their minds, but at the moment it doesn't look like it."
Schwarzer is in the autumn of his career at 37, but has proved to be one of the Premier League's most consistent performers and his experience is clearly attractive to Wenger.
