Arsenal warn Gallas over contract

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has warned William Gallas that the club will not be held to ransom over his contract.
Gallas will be a free agent this summer after allowing his contract to wind down and is believed to be attracting attention from teams in Italy.
The France international is rumoured to be holding out for a minimum two-year deal with Arsenal, but his demands have not met with approval from Hill-Wood and the Gunners board.
"He is asking for too much for too long," Hill-Wood told the Daily Star. "Players are going to have to learn some time that money doesn't grow on trees."
It is believed Gallas has been offered a one-year deal, which is Wenger's preferred policy for players over the age of 30.
