Cabella deserves 'something different than Newcastle'
Montpellier owner Louis Nicollin has told RTL Remy Cabella "deserves something different" than joining Newcastle United.
Cabella, 23, has been strongly linked with a move to Newcastle where he would be reunited with former Montpellier team-mate Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. When the French international defender moved to North East England last January, Nicollin, 70, said he felt the defender should have joined a more prestigious club, and now feels Cabella should do the same.
"There is already one of ours there, and I hope he enjoys it. Remy, I think, deserves something different than Newcastle. Personally, I wouldn't go there. You must get bored s***less in Newcastle."

Nicollin's son, Laurent, who runs the club on a daily basis for his father, declared on Tuesday that Montpellier had reached an agreement with Newcastle for Cabella.
Nicollin Jr added Cabella would not be leaving the club this winter, a point on which his father agrees.
"There is nothing at all, and there won't be anything done. I don't want to pay huge amounts of tax this year, because the budget ends on June 30. I prefer that it's from July 1. If there are offers, and good offers, that will allow us to have a good season next season especially if we're in the top division. But there is no question at all of him leaving now. I've heard a lot of old rubbish."
Media speculation has Cabella's arrival at St James's Park dependent on Yohan Cabaye leaving the club for Paris Saint-Germain this month. Reports in France claim the two clubs have reached agreement on a £26 million fee for the French international, provoking Newcastle's interest in Cabella.
"I think Newcastle are interested because they are undoubtedly going to say yes to Paris Saint-Germain for the cash. But us, we're not stupid enough to give those English Cabella for Cabaye."
