Fernandinho facing fitness battle for Barca clash

Fernandinho is in a race against time to be fit for Manchester City's first leg tie against Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League.
The summer-signing missed the defeat to Chelsea on Monday night with a thigh problem, and there had been reports suggesting that he was set to be sidelined for up to a month with the injury.
However, there is a chance that Fernandinho could return for the opening match against Barcelona on February 18, with rumours of a four-week lay-off being quashed by the player himself on Twitter.
