Chelsea's potentially decisive Premier League title showdown with Liverpool at Anfield could be moved back a day to boost Jose Mourinho's hopes of Champions League glory.

Following their progression into the Champions League semi-finals, Chelsea's fixture-pile up will reportedly be eased by the Premier League.

With the first legs set to be played on April 22 and 23, and the second legs on either April 29 or 30, Chelsea are due to be in action on the Sunday before both fixtures.

Chelsea are scheduled to face Sunderland at home on April 20 while they had been down to face Liverpool a week later.

However it is believed the Premier League will bring back whichever game falls before the Tuesday leg of their semi-final.

Liverpool lead Chelsea by two points at the top of the Premier League, with third-placed Manchester City heading to Anfield on Sunday.

The Champions League draw will take place at 11am on Friday April 11, with Chelsea joined in the last four by Mourinho's former club Real Madrid, reigning European champions Bayern Munich and surprise package Atletico Madrid, who defeated Barcelona in the quarter-finals to reach this stage for the first time since 1974.
