Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has escaped one sanction from UEFA but has been hit with another by the Football Association.

UEFA have confirmed Mourinho will face no action for handing out instructions to his players on the pitch on Tuesday following Demba Ba's late goal in their Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Mourinho charged down the touchline at Stamford Bridge to make tactical points to his players after the dramatic strike that put Chelsea through to the Champions League semi-finals, but referee Pedro Proenca's report from Tuesday's game cleared him of any wrongdoing.

However Mourinho has received an £8,000 fine and been warned about his future conduct by the FA over an incident during last month's Premier League match against Aston Villa.

Mourinho had entered the field of play in the 1-0 defeat at Villa Park after Ramires was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Karim El Ahmadi close to both benches.

The Chelsea manager briefly spoke to referee Chris Foy before being sent to the stands, and later blamed the official for his handling of the match, although he was not charged for those comments.

An FA statement said that Mourinho had denied a breach of Rule E3, but was found guilty in a personal hearing. He was charged with improper conduct last month.
