Diego Simeone: Chelsea are a difficult rival

Petr Cech says Chelsea are ready to turn up the heat on title rivals Liverpool - and insists Brendan Rodgers' side could wilt under the pressure.

Liverpool made it 10 Premier League wins in a row with their 3-2 victory over Manchester City and sit two points clear of Chelsea - who saw off Swansea 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium - at the top.

Rodgers has played down Liverpool's title aspirations all season, and again sidestepped the question of whether his side were favourites following Sunday's match.

Now Cech feels Liverpool could falter with expectations reaching fever pitch on Merseyside as the prospect of a first title in 24 years gets ever closer.

"Nobody expected anything from Liverpool this season and they're in contention - it's why they've been able to play without pressure so far," said Cech.

"But let's see how they will cope when it comes to the last hurdle. They will have to jump over it. "They have been doing remarkably well but we're still around."

Liverpool will be champions if they win their remaining four games - with Chelsea travelling to Anfield on April 27.

But Cech feels Chelsea's title-winning experience could prove the difference.

He added: "We have players who are used to playing big games. Sometimes when you have a young team full of enthusiasm they don't feel any pressure, they just play.

"But we have just four games to play now and if we win all of our matches, we will be there right to the end.

"That's what we will try to do, to go game-by-game, try win them all and then we'll see where we'll be. We will go for it."
