Manchester United trio Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Ashley Young have all faced the wrath of manager David Moyes for enjoying a night out after their Champions League exit to Bayern Munich, according to reports.

Moyes is understood to have spoken to all three players at United's Carrington training ground after they were photographed out in Manchester in the early hours of Friday morning, having arrived back on the Thursday from a 3-1 defeat at the Allianz Arena.

The Daily Mail claims all three were made to do extra training away from their team-mates and had each been fined for their misdemeanour - although it is not known how severe their financial punishment was.

The pictures showed Welbeck and Cleverley dancing in front of friends on the street outside a nightclub.

Welbeck has scored just twice since January 1 and missed a great chance in the first leg against Bayern that would have put United ahead in the tie, while Cleverley has been singled out for criticism by fans, including England supporters dismayed at his selection by Roy Hodgson for the recent friendly against Denmark.
