No birthday wishes for Yaya

Yaya Toure has confirmed he is unhappy with Manchester City after his agent revealed the midfielder felt the club had shown a lack of respect.

Toure's agent, Dimitry Seluk, gave an interview to the Sun in which he said the player was "so upset he's thinking of leaving" after City failed to wish him a happy birthday when he turned 31 last week.

After the article was published on Tuesday, Toure joked on Twitter that a card from the club had "just arrived" and added: "Must have got lost in the post. Haha."

He then appeared to suggest Seluk's comments did not represent his views on the situation.

However, shortly afterwards Toure then said he fully endorsed his agent's remarks and that he would elaborate on his position later after the World Cup.

Toure joined City from Barcelona in 2010 and has become a key player for the Premier League champions. He signed a new four-year contract in 2013.
