Arsenal and Liverpool target Remy will cost £8m

Arsenal and Liverpool will be expected to pay around £8 million for the services of Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy.

Manager Harry Redknapp, who steered his side back to the Premier League this weekend with a 1-0 Play-Off final victory against Derby, does not expect Remy to return to the club next season and a source close to the player recently said Remythe striker has held talks with both clubs over a summer move.

"I don't see [Loic] Remy wanting to come back and play," Redknapp said. "He's talking about playing Champions League somewhere.

"I wouldn't know what he'll do, but I think he's got a buy-out clause which is at a reasonable level. Not much more than we paid for him."

Remy, 27, who , who joined QPR for £8m from Marseille in January 2013, is contracted to the Loftus Road club until 2017 but spent last season on loan at Newcastle, where he impressed with 14 goals.

He has been selected for France's World Cup squad, watched Arsenal's last home game of the season against West Brom from the Emirates Stadium stands, but manager Arsene Wenger revealed he had not invited his fellow Frenchman.
