Palermo defender Simon Kjaer would welcome a move to Tottenham and other Premier League sides, according to his agent.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini had been quoted as saying Spurs had agreed a £28.4 million deal for Kjaer and Edinson Cavani earlier this week, but the claims were later denied by both sides.

Agent Mikkel Beck has now said that no clubs have made a firm offer for Kjaer, but confirmed the 21-year-old Denmark centre back would be open to a move to White Hart Lane.

"We know of a lot of interest, for sure, but we don't know of any concrete interest," Beck told Soccernet. "So far, nothing concrete has happened. We know there is a lot of interest in the European market, but we are in a situation where we have to wait and see what happens.

"Simon knows what he has at Palermo. He has three years left on his contract, and we're not just talking about any club - it's a top club in Italy. It's not one of the biggest, maybe, but he's one of the most important players and they have qualified for Europe.

"He knows what he has, but he's ready to move on if the right club makes an offer, so we're just waiting to see."

Asked if he would consider Tottenham to be the right club, Beck replied: "If they should agree a fee, of course we would. That's normal. We have still not come to the point where they have agreed a fee, so for the time being I would rather not comment on Tottenham, but England would be interesting for Simon if anyone would make a concrete offer."
