Jenny Meadows has admitted she is considering competing at the Commonwealth Games following the return of Caster Semenya.

The world 800 metre bronze medallist had initially decided to focus solely on the European Championships in Barcelona later this month, but the return of world champion Semenya has prompted her to rethink her schedule.

Semenya is set to make her season debut in Finland this week before concentrating on the Commonwealths in Delhi later this year.

And Meadows, who has urged her fellow athletes to accept Semenya's return, is keen to pit herself against the South African for the first time since the World Championships in Berlin last summer.

"I will be watching her results with interest, especially if she is competing at the Commonwealths. I'm happy to compete against her," Meadows told The Sun.
