Redknapp eyes up loan market

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has admitted he may look to strengthen his squad through loan signings rather than spending money on transfers this summer.
The Spurs boss revealed he could take advantage of the loan market after having a bid for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker turned down. The club have also been linked with moves for Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy and AC Milan's Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Redknapp is happy to bide his time, believing clubs will be desperate to offload high earners, and could spend as little as £8 million for three new signings.
"I can see loans happening," he said in the Daily Mirror. "I've got three players in mind that would not cost a lot of money.
"If we can pull off the deals you are talking about £8 million or £9 million for three players. Loans would certainly be a real possibility.
"People are going to loan players from all over the world; there will be loads because clubs are struggling to pay the wages. There will be high earners they have to loan out."
