Drog and Ade beyond reach - Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has ruled out making raids for Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Adebayor, with the Real Madrid boss feeling there is "no chance" of luring the pair away from their clubs.
Mourinho has been linked with a host of star names since taking control at the Bernabeu and talk has suggested Adebayor, an unused substitute in Manchester City's win over Liverpool on Monday, is on his radar.
The Portuguese coach did not deny an interest in Adebayor, but feels the financial power of City would make it difficult to prise their star names away.
"I think no chance," Mourinho told Sky Sports News when asked about the prospect of signing Adebayor. "The historical dimension of Real Madrid and Manchester City you can't compare. But the economical dimension you can compare.
"So I think at the minute Man City is the club to keep their best players and to buy the players that nobody expects them to buy. I don't think, just one year after buying Emmanuel from Arsenal, he's the player to leave."
Drogba has started the season in blistering form for Chelsea but Mourinho believes the man he nurtured at Stamford Bridge is beyond his reach. "Again, no chance," was Mourinho's response to questions about signing the Ivorian.
Mourinho is fearful of the financial might of City and admitted he was beaten to the signing of Aleksander Kolarov by Roberto Mancini.
"I was interested in Kolarov when I came here but I couldn't compete with them as they went to values that I couldn't," he said. "If they have the money they can do it, if they have the ambition to win the Premier League they can do it."
