Beckham rules out Everton loan move

David Beckham has categorically ruled out a move to Everton after David Moyes admitted his interest in trying to engineer a loan deal.
The England international, currently plying his trade at LA Galaxy, has enjoyed two loan spells at AC Milan during the MLS off-season - but he will not be moving to Goodison Park on a short-term deal.
Moyes was hopeful of tempting Beckham to Merseyside, having previously persuaded his club team-mate Landon Donovan to join Everton. Donovan's arrival coincided with an upturn in the Toffees fortune last year, and Moyes was hoping that Beckham could have the same effect.
However, the 35-year-old midfielder has quashed the Scot's hopes. "No [I will not join Everton], it's always nice to be wanted by different managers and teams, even if it's on loan for a few months or more permanent," Beckham told Sky Sports News. "I've got the greatest respect for David Moyes, he's done an amazing job - but I'm a Man Utd fan, it's too close to home."
