Frank Lampard's injury woe shows no sign of coming to an end after he was ruled out of Chelsea's match with Everton on Saturday.

Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti insisted last week that he expected Lampard to return against the Toffees, but a groin injury continues to rule him out of action. The news will be a cause of grave concern to Chelsea, who have surrendered the lead of the Premier League in recent weeks following a turbulent spell.

There is more optimism surrounding the John Terry situation, with the Chelsea skipper expected to be fit for the Everton clash. The Londoners are depleted in defence - Alex has been playing through the pain of a knee problem - so Terry's comeback will be well received.
