Pienaar coy on Tottenham links
Steven Pienaar has refused to give any guarantees about his future, with the Everton midfielder claiming he is in the dark about links with Tottenham.
The South African is in the final year of his contract and despite the club trying to thrash out a new deal, all offers have so far failed to persuade him to commit his future to Everton.
Tottenham have been strongly linked with a bid for the former Ajax man, but Pienaar was giving little away when asked to clarify his future.
"I don't know," the 28-year-old told Sky Sports News when asked if he will be staying at Everton. "I am still focused on staying at Everton. The season is not over yet, so anything can happen.
"I can't comment on that [whether he would be joining Tottenham]. I was told this by one of my team-mates. I don't know what is going on.
"The media in England is big and they say a lot. I do not know what is going on. I am just happy at Everton and focusing on them."
