Sidwell in advanced talks with West Ham

West Ham are on the verge of signing midfielder Steve Sidwell from Aston Villa, after agreeing a deal to take him to Upton Park in January.
The move for the former Reading and Chelsea man is in advanced stages and could be completed as soon as the transfer window opens on January 1.
''The deal is 90% done,'' a West Ham insider told ESPNsoccernet.
Sidwell was on around £50,000-a-week while at Chelsea, but is expected to earn significantly less at West Ham, with more chances to play first-team football.
He has made almost 70 appearances in all competitions for Villa, but has started only once in the Premier League this season.
