Sidwell leads the way in Hammers spending spree

Aston Villa midfielder Steve Sidwell will complete his move to West Ham on Monday morning ahead of a busy transfer window for the Hammers.
Avram Grant has targeted four new signings in January transfer window, and West Ham have enquired for about 20 players, aiming to capture at least one big-name striker.
They have been linked with the likes of Michael Owen and Robbie Keane but, with a debt of £80 million, they will seek to recruit loan stars.
West Ham are also interested in signing Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd for £2 million, with the 28-year-old, recently called up by England, out of contract in the summer. Birmingham and Chelsea are also interested.
The Hammers also want Wayne Bridge and Shaun Wright-Phillips from Manchester City but can only recruit one loan player from any one Premier League club. Bridge is the more likely, but negotiations over the details of a loan deal are still ongoing.
