Redknapp in the dark over Beckham deal

Harry Redknapp admits he is unsure as to whether Tottenham will be able to complete a loan move for David Beckham.
Spurs are locked in negotiations with Beckham's club, LA Galaxy, over the prospect of bringing him to London until March.
Although Redknapp has made it plain that he would welcome Beckham's arrival, he says the brevity of his stay remains a potential stumbling block.
"He'd fit in, yeah," Redknapp said. "He'd keep the ball great for us, he'd give us a little bit of quality within the team at times - a bit of know-how, a bit of leadership when things go wrong. But I don't know where that one's at. The chairman's dealing with it and I don't know where the situation is.
"It's such a short term deal, that's the problem. When you look at it for the short period it is, it's a difficult one."
Elsewhere, Redknapp confirmed that striker Robbie Keane is moving closer to a permanent move to Birmingham City. "I think Birmingham have made an offer for Robbie, around £7 million pounds, and it's up to Robbie," he said. "If it's a move he fancies, we won't stand in his way."
