Nasri named Player of the Month by the fans

Arsenal playmaker Samir Nasri has scooped the ESPN PFA Fans' Player of the Month award for December after continuing to produce some sumptuous displays for the Gunners.
Nasri, who also won the award in October, has been one of the Premier League's most consistent performers this season and beat off stiff competition from the likes of Gareth Bale, Yaya Toure and Andy Carroll to the prize, voted for by supporters.
The France midfielder, who has also established himself as a starter for Les Bleus under Laurent Blanc, enjoyed a blistering start to December - scoring a sensational match-winning double against Fulham and a goal in Arsenal's 3-1 Champions League victory over Partizan Belgrade.
After the Fulham game, Arsene Wenger lauded Nasri, saying: "I was delighted with Nasri. He showed great quality, great desire, great touch and intelligence. He has added so much to his game. Now he races in behind and shows composure in front of goal. He is showing everyone how talented he is and I think there is more to come from him."
Nasri has already scored 13 goals for the Gunners this season and has formed a formidable, creative midfield partnership with captain Cesc Fabregas.
Elsewhere, Watford striker Danny Graham took home the December ESPN PFA Fans' Award for the Championship after firing Watford into the play-off places, while Plymouth striker Bradley Wright-Phillips and Northampton goalkeeper Chris Dunn took the League One and League Two gongs respectively.
