Gudjohnsen signs Fulham deal

Fulham have swelled their attacking ranks with the capture of Eidur Gudjohnsen from Stoke City.
The Iceland forward has signed a loan deal until the end of the season, although he has effectively played his last game for Stoke as his contract at the Britannia expires in the summer.
Gudjohnsen only learned of the interest from Fulham late on deadline day and with no time to head down to London, he undertook a medical in Stoke before thrashing out personal terms.
The former Bolton man will look to kick-start his career, having endured a tough time in the Potteries.
"It has been an incredibly frustrating time for Eidur," Stoke manager Tony Pulis told the club's official website. "But he has been an outstanding professional and a great influence around the place in his time here. Unfortunately, he didn't get the games that he needed to build up his match fitness, but this loan move presents him with a chance to do that."
