Fabianski injury may require surgery
Lukasz Fabianski could face an extended spell on the sidelines after he revealed that his shoulder injury may require surgery.
If he is forced to go under the knife, Arsenal will place 20-year-old Wojciech Szczesny - a veteran of ten first-team appearances - between the sticks for their title run-in.
Fabianski, who has installed himself as the Gunners No. 1 this season, has not played for the first-team since January 5.
"Midweek a decision will be made [on my injury]," Fabianski told the Mirror. "I hope that I don't have to have an operation."
Elsewhere, striker Nicklas Bendtner has warned his team-mates that February represents a make-or-break month. The Gunners will contest the League Cup final against Birmingham and a Champions League tie with Barcelona while also pushing for FA Cup and Premier League honours.
"It looks like being the decisive month I would say," he said. "Two cups will be decided, and the Premier League table will take shape. February is a big, big month for us and at the end of it we will see where we are."
