Rodwell expecting six weeks out

Everton have yet to reveal the extent of Jack Rodwell's injury, but the midfielder has delivered a blow to the club by revealing he is likely to be sidelined for six weeks.
Rodwell limped out of England U21s' clash with Italy on Tuesday with what appeared to be a groin injury and returned to Merseyside for assessment. The club sent him for a scan, but have yet to reveal the results.
It would appear Rodwell has been informed of the extent of the problem as he told his followers on Twitter that he is facing a long spell on the sidelines.
"Four to six weeks out," he wrote on Twitter. "Gutted but will come back stronger."
Everton sit just four points above the drop zone and face Bolton, Sunderland, Newcastle and Birmingham in their next four Premier League games.
