Dawson has moved ahead of Rio - Terry

John Terry believes that Michael Dawson's form could have closed the door on Rio Ferdinand's hopes of breaking back into the England team.
Tottenham defender Dawson has started each of the last two matches for England as Ferdinand struggles to overcome the calf problem that may prevent him playing again this season.
And after impressing in England's comfortable 2-0 win over Wales on Saturday, the England skipper has hailed Dawson's credentials.
"There is a lot of competition at centre-back but Michael has made the position his own really," Terry said. "In the Champions League he has been really good for Tottenham this season and maybe that is the key for him as well.
"Playing in the big competitions against the big players can only help anyone as a player. Michael has certainly done well in the last couple of games for England."
Both Dawson and Ferdinand have been released back to their clubs ahead of England's friendly with Ghana on Tuesday, for which Capello has revealed he may change the entire team.
"Maybe I will make 11 changes because I want to respect the clubs," he said. "The plan was for nobody to go home, that we stay together - but we changed it.
"But I will make, at least by the end of the game, 11 changes, 100%."
