Modric agent rules out any summer 'surprises'

Luka Modric's agent insists the Croatian will only be leaving Tottenham if the club choose to accept a substantial bid this summer.
Modric has caught the eye this season during Spurs' successful Champions League campaign. The 25-year-old has been linked with Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus in recent weeks, but Modric, who joined on a six-year contract from Dinamo Zagreb in 2008, signed a new long-term deal just last May.
Modric's agent, Nikki Vuksan, reiterated that his client has no intention of leaving White Hart Lane this summer and said Modric would only go if Spurs take the shock decision to cash in on one of their prized assets.
"They are just rumours," Vuksan told calciomercato.it. "I have read comments from different people on this subject, but the reality is that Luka has a long and important contract with Tottenham.
"Last summer he extended it until 2016 and he's very happy in London. If a bid should arrive it would be up to the club to evaluate it. Tottenham want Modric to talk with club officials and, to my knowledge, this has not yet happened, so at the moment I can rule out any surprises."
