Mancini leaves Tevez to sweat

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini will wait until Saturday morning to decide on the fitness of star striker Carlos Tevez for the FA Cup final.

Tevez has been out of action for four games with a hamstring injury, but played for twelve minutes against Tottenham in midweek and has reportedly impressed in training. However, the Italian manager says he is the one to make the call over his player and will not be rushing the decision.

"Carlos is getting better but I have another two days to decide if he can play or not,'' Mancini said. ''I don't know if he can play some part. We should use these two days to recover all of our strength. We will decide on Carlos on Saturday morning."

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Adebayor has launched an attack on Mancini, accusing him of lacking respect and of treating him like a kid.

"I wanted to play and he brought me on in one match for 15 seconds. I said to him, 'What do you expect me to do for 15 seconds?''', said Adebayor who is currently on loan at Real Madrid. ''So I told him after the game, 'Listen, I'm not a 16-year-old boy'.

''I said, 'Please, I'm not forcing you to play me. If you don't want to play me, don't play me. But the respect I have for you, please have the minimum respect back for me. Don't play me for the last 15 seconds any more'. From that day everything went bad and he was not speaking to me."

Mancini has already revealed that he has no plans to bring Adebayor back to City, with the Togo striker most recently linked with a move to Tottenham.
