Arsenal and Liverpool headline ESPN pre-season action

ESPN is further strengthening its summer sports line-up with a host of exclusive pre-season football friendlies, featuring Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and Everton as the Barclays Premier League clubs embark on their pre-season tours, as well as the Liga Total Cup, which features some of Germany's best teams.
These new pre-season friendlies are an addition to the ESPN Summer Tour - the channel's array of live sport over the summer months, which is headlined by top level football from the Copa America and the Emirates Cup alongside more great sport from around the world. The fixtures build on ESPN's established worldwide offering of top domestic and international football, including Barclays Premier League, the FA Cup, Clydesdale Bank Premier League, Italian Serie A, Germany's Bundesliga and the UEFA Europa League.
ESPN will bring viewers all games from Arsenal and Liverpool's tours of Asia, starting on July 13 as the Gunners take on a Malaysia XI while Liverpool face China's Guangdong Sunray Cave. Then, on July 16, Arsenal travel to face Hangzhou Greentown FC, while it's the turn of Kenny Dalglish's men to play the Malaysia XI. Fans can follow the clubs' pre-season return to Europe on ESPN, with live coverage of Arsenal's games against Cologne on July 23 and Benfica on August 7, as well as Liverpool's visit to face Valerenga FC in Norway on August 1 before they welcome Valencia to Anfield on August 6.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur's tour of South Africa is exclusive to ESPN, starting with a fixture against Kaiser Chiefs on July 16, followed on July 19 by a clash with Orlando Pirates. Everton's preparations for the new season begin in America as they take on MLS outfit DC United on July 23, live and exclusive on ESPN.
ESPN's coverage of the Liga Total Cup in Germany will give viewers the chance to see some of the best teams in the Bundesliga. The tournament kicks off with FSV Mainz against champions Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday June 19, immediately followed that evening by Bayern Munich v Hamburg. The Cup is concluded the next day as the winning teams play in the final.
Jeroen Oerlemans, Vice President, TV Channels ESPN, EMEA said: "We're delighted to add these games to our summer schedule and bring fans even more great live football. In addition to our live and exclusive coverage of the summer's premier football action in the Copa America, ESPN viewers will not miss any of the all important pre-season football action."
