Chelsea winning race to sign Pastore

Having joked that the clubs interested in Javier Pastore came from Iceland, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has admitted both Chelsea and Juventus are two of the four who have made a move to sign his player.
Pastore is sure to leave Palermo this summer, with the Argentina playmaker rated at €50 million, and although Zamparini is loath to lose his best player, he admits that his hand will be forced when his value is reached.
"Pastore is a phenomenal player and there are three or four clubs interested in him," said Zamparini. "I am a businessman and I will not lose my cool, but it is clear that clubs who want Pastore must have the economic power to submit a proposal.
"Chelsea are one of the clubs concerned, but we have to wait to see what Villas-Boas, the new coach, decides. The same goes for Juventus, although they are less interested than the English.
"Napoli have also called me to ask for Pastore. I would love him to stay in Italy, but it is very unlikely."
