Man City target Aguero to decide future after Copa

Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero is hopeful that his protracted departure from the Vicente Calderon will be finalised after the Copa America, though he admitted his destination remains unknown.

Aguero, 23, revealed in May that he wanted to leave Atletico and speculation about which club he will end up at has rumbled on since then, with Real Madrid, Manchester City and Juventus all tipped to land him.

City's link the Argentina star has grown considerably over the past 24 hours, as Roberto Mancini begins to seek a replacement for Carlos Tevez, who revealed he will leave this summer.

But despite Aguero emerging as one of Europe's most highly-rated strikers in recent seasons, it is only the Juventus who are believed to have shown an interest so far, with Aguero's agent Bruno Satin rating their chances of signing his client as "concrete" last week.

Aguero is currently on international duty with the Albiceleste at the Copa America, but expects a move - to Juventus or otherwise - to be confirmed on his return.

"I thought my future would be resolved at this point," Aguero is quoted as saying in Marca. "When the Copa is finished I hope to know for sure where I'm going."

Any club wishing to sign Aguero, who scored for Argentina in their Copa America draw with Bolivia last Friday, will likely have to part with around €40 million to get their man.
