Director of business affairs Ian Phillips has left Force India after working at the team since its F1 debut under the Jordan name in 1991.

In his role at the team he dealt with the team's sponsorship acquisition and dealings with the FIA and Formula One Management. He was the man behind Jordan's memorable Benson and Hedges bright yellow livery in the late 1990s and oversaw the commercial success of the team during the same period.

He also worked as a journalist in his earlier career and recently made several appearances commentating on Friday practice sessions for BBC Radio Five Live.

In a statement Force India said: "The team would like to wish Ian every success in his future endeavours."
