Force India's 2015 challenger made its long-awaited debut in Barcelona on Friday, though it suffered a left rear puncture during Nico Hulkenberg's first lap.

Force India has delayed the introduction of the VJM08, missing the first test completely and then arriving in Barcelona last week with its 2014 car. The team released an image of this year's car earlier in the week and stuck to its plan of getting the car out on Friday afternoon at the Circuit de Catalunya.

The car emerged from the Force India garage shortly after midday to complete an installation lap but returned with a left rear puncture. But it did not seem to hamper the team's running as Hulkenberg re-remerged almost immediately from the garage to complete another installation lap.

The team has just two and a half days of track time available until the 2015 opener in Melbourne.
