Paul di Resta says he needs to ensure he is fully prepared for the rest of the season as he ends the year racing at five circuits new to him.

With 2011 being his first season racing in Formula One, di Resta has not driven at Singapore, Japan, Korea or Brazil, while India is a brand new circuit and he's only completed a young driver test at Abu Dhabi. With Force India in a close battle with Sauber and Toro Rosso for sixth place in the constructor's championship, di Resta told Sporting Life that he will be in every free practice session at a new track to help him get up to speed.

"I've not done any of the tracks coming up, apart from Abu Dhabi where I did a test at the end of last year," di Resta said. "So I'm not going to go to any track thinking it will be easy, not in this world, this environment. All I can do is go to these places as best prepared as I can be. I'll be in every practice that I've not driven before. I'm not going to miss any, which is good, a bit of a relief. But I always knew it was going to be that way at the start of the year."

Force India climbed above Sauber at Monza, but Toro Rosso outscored the pair with both cars in the top ten. Just seven points separate the three teams ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, and di Resta says he is confident his car will be quicker on the street circuit.

"Toro Rosso picked up a few more points on us because they had a double points finish yesterday. But our car will hopefully suit Singapore better, as it showed at tracks like Hungary, Silverstone and the Nurburgring recently. I think we're going to go there with a small update, and we'll be out there fighting against the teams we need to be."
