A warrant for Vijay Mallya's arrest has been withdrawn after a case against his airline for outstanding unpaid airport fees in Hyderabad was settled with a payment.

A court in Hyderabad had issued warrants against the Force India team principal and other executives of Kingfisher Airlines after they failed to appear in court following a summons. Mallya had sought exemption from appearing as he was abroad.

Kingfisher Airlines has been grounded since the start of the month due to pilots and engineers going on strike over complaints about unpaid salaries. The carrier is hoping to resume operations on October 21.
