Webber hit by gearbox penalty
Mark Webber will be hit with a five-place grid penalty after Red Bull discovered a problem with his gearbox overnight and have been forced to replace it with a new one.
The team broke the mechanic's curfew on Friday evening to investigate the problem and according to Sky Sports did not want to risk a hydraulic issue causing a failure later in the weekend.
Under the regulations gearboxes must last five races and Webber has been issued a gird penalty as a result. Nico Rosberg and Romain Grosjean will also face five-place grid penalties after their respective teams found problems with their race gearboxes since Silverstone.
