The first GP2 off-season test starts today at Jerez, with teams running a number of different drivers across the two days.

The 2011 champions Barwa Addax have Dani Clos and Johnny Cecotto in their cars on day one, while runners-up DAMS are running GP3 pair Nico Muller and Rio Haryanto. Driver's runner-up Luca Filippi is back in at Scureria Coloni for the morning and will hand over to Kevin Ceccon in the afternoon, while Fabio Onidi is in the second car.

There are seven GP3 drivers in total, with champion Valtteri Bottas in at Lotus ART, runner-up James Calado driving for Ocean Racing Technology, third placed Nigel Melker at Arden alongside Simon Trummer and Antonio Felix Da Costa working with Caterham Team AirAsia.

Sam Bird is driving for Rapax on day one before switching to Trident for the second day, and he told ESPNF1 "I'm looking forward to Jerez; it should be interesting to drive other cars."

The second off-season test takes place on October 19-20 in Barcelona.
