iSport has confirmed Marcus Ericsson for the GP2 Abu Dhabi race and 2012 season, while Tom Dillmann will drive alongside him at the Yas Marina circuit.

Ericsson is retained for a second season with the team having secured tenth place in the drivers' standings in 2011, with two podium finishes to his name. It will be his third season in GP2 after his debut with Supernova in 2010 which saw him win the sprint race in Valencia but only score points on two other occasions. Ericsson said he was hoping the stability would help him improve next season.

"I couldn't be happier," Ericsson said. "iSport is a great team and with the support from my sponsors and the continuity from last year I feel confident we will be competitive to challenge for the championship".

Team principal Paul Jackson is also targeting a title challenge: "Having seen Marcus develop in to a real front runner in 2011, everyone at iSport are delighted to have Marcus on board for yet another season in which we are hoping to challenge for the title. Marcus will continue to benefit from the support of 'Olsbergs', his long time backers and they have been instrumental in enabling the relationship to continue. "

Dillmann competed in GP3 in 2011, initially qualifying on pole and securing a podium with Carlin in the season-opener at Istanbul, before seeing out the latter part of the season with Addax.

"Tom has shown great pace and capacity to learn in the recent tests and has demonstrated that he is ready to move up from the GP3 Series," Jackson said. "As a GP3 graduate, he is eligible for the special prize fund and we will be hoping to help him secure a share of that. Many thanks to the sponsors and individuals who continue to support iSport and our drivers."
