Flemenstar extended his unbeaten streak to four races, outjumping rival Bog Warrior to win the Naas Directors Plate Novice Chase on Sunday.

The seven-year-old produced a flawless display under the guidance of jockey Andrew Lynch to claim an emphatic victory by five-and-a-half lengths at Naas.

Bog Warrior had beaten Flemenstar on his chasing debut at Navan in November, and although Tony Martin's charge led the trio out, Flemenstar grabbed the lead six out and left his rivals trailing in his wake as he romped to victory.

Bog Warrior had no response, and trailed home well behind second-placed Frisco Depot.

"I was delighted with him and he didn't like the ground today - it was a bit sticky," trainer Peter Casey said. "That's it now until Easter and the Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse.

"He's improved a lot since he ran the first time against Bog Warrior. He took it up a bit early, but the way he was pulling Andrew let him go on. He jumped great today."
