Kieren Fallon is likely to lodge an appeal against his 10-day ban after guiding Native Khan to victory in the Craven Stakes.

Fallon is set to sit out the Guineas meeting after being banned at Kempton on Wednesday night after failing to ride to the line. However, with his likely 2000 Guineas mount Native Khan being so impressive, he is considering fighting the suspension.

"The rules are the rules, but I was doing my best and I thought I had ridden to the line," Fallon said. "I thought that the second horse would have got to me anyway. I'll give an appeal a go but I won't hold my breath."

Trainer Ed Dunlop was impressed and feels the grey will only improve as he steps up in trip.

"I know he'll improve a lot for this and I wasn't worried when he started sweating, as he was very fresh," Dunlop said. "I'd have been concerned if he'd been lethargic.

"I want to run him in a Guineas, but we'll have to see whether it is the French one or here at Newmarket. If he was mine, he'd be coming here. He is French-bred but I certainly wouldn't rule out coming here and could be one for the French Derby but he won't run anywhere if it is soft."
