Derby winner Barzalona gets Delegator ride at Ascot

Mickael Barzalona will ride Delegator in the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot next Saturday, after riding Pour Moi to Derby glory last weekend.
The French jockey's stock could hardly be higher, despite appearing to celebrate before the finish in his victory at Epsom, and stable Godolphin have increasingly turned to him for high profile rides this season.
With the stable's No. 1 jockey Frankie Dettori suspended for the final two days of racing at Ascot, the 19-year-old will get the chance to mount Delegator - who previously won the Duke Of York Stakes winner and finished runner-up to Sea The Stars in the 2000 Guineas in 2009.
"Mickael Barzalona will ride Delegator in the Golden Jubilee as Frankie is suspended," said the team's racing manager Simon Crisford. "We were delighted with Delegator's victory at York last month and he should have improved for the outing.
"Mickael will also ride one of our Hardwicke Stakes runners on the same day, with Johnny Murtagh on another of them.
"We have Calvados Blues, Campanologist, Cavalryman and Passion For Gold in the race at the moment and will decide the participants closer to the day."
