Bruno Senna is keen to hold onto his HRT drive in Formula One next year.

Senna made his debut with the new Spanish team this season, but has recorded only three finishes so far and never qualified higher than 21st. In an interview with Reuters he admitted that, despite the team's problems, he still hopes to stay stay at HRT in 2011.

"At the end of the day you never know what can and cannot happen in the future," he said. "All I can do is keep pushing and hopefully get some good results. I think I have developed a lot, learned a lot in Formula One. I have improved so much on driving and being assured of myself, in motivation.

"It's very hard to being always used to being in the front [in lower categories] and then you start running towards the back. It's very tough being lapped, it hurts you in the mind a lot. Even though we know that the car is not competitive...you always expect that you can do something very special."

He added that his main focus was to stay in Formula One for as long as possible.

"It's a bit frustrating when you are trying to compete but can't," he continued. "But at the end of the day my career is not about only this year."
