GP2 driver Dani Clos will drive for HRT at the Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi next week.

The Spaniard finished ninth in this year's GP2 Series and is set to drive for Rapax alongside Mihai Marinescu at the GP2 Finals in Abu Dhabi this weekend. His HRT test, which will take place on the same circuit the Tuesday after, will be his first outing in a Formula One car since a couple of tests for Williams in 2008.

"I feel very lucky to be driving a Formula One car again, like I did in 2008," Clos said. "It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make it to an F1 test. I would like to thank the whole HRT team beforehand for putting their trust in me. I have worked very hard throughout my career and to see HRT F1 Team deposit its faith in me is a great way of proving my worth.

"I am sure that the work we will put in will be beneficial for both parties. I want to thank everyone that backs me and trusts in me, especially the people who are closest to me, for having helped me into making this a reality."

The line-up for the Young Driver Test is starting to take shape with Jean-Eric Vergne at Red Bull, Jules Bianchi at Ferrari, Sam Bird at Mercedes, Mirko Bortolotti at Williams, Fabio Leimer at Sauber, Stefano Coletti and Kevin Ceccon at Toro Rosso, Luiz Razia and Alexander Rossi at Lotus and Adrian Quaife-Hobbs at Virgin.
